RULES OF RESIDENCY

  • Absolution Clause:
    • If a rule not stated directly here is violated, and a petition of more than 50 stables comes forth to complain about it, then it is authorized for the EWC Order of Command to review the problem and take action on it

  • Stable Check Rule:
    • If at the end of a trainer contest a stable has gone ALL EIGHT WEEKS of the contest with ZERO points accumulated and has not sent confirmation that they wish to stay in the EWC then the Order of Command reserve the right to remove that stable from the EWC without notice. This rule may be enforced at the end of any given trainer contest. Trainers that have only recently joined will never have their stables removed

  • HOT races: are not included in the standings calculations

  • Supporting EWC:
    • As an EWC member you MUST support the EWC Residency with all of the stables you have declared as residing with EWC. NON-SUPPORT BY ANY STABLE WILL RESULT IN THAT STABLE BEING REMOVED FROM THE CURRENT STATS AND MAY CONSTITUTE GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL OF THE RELEVANT TRAINER FROM THE RESIDENCY

  • Restricted races/Questionable races:
    • If a trainer is seen to be making (T) restricted or (Age) restricted races where very few runners are eligible, those race results will not count and will be deducted from the players score.
    If a trainer races in any other questionable races then the EWC Order of Command will decide on what course of action to take

  • Dual Residencies:
    • All members MUST support EWC with each of the stables they have nominated to be in the EWC Residency. It is, however, acceptable to have other of a member's total stables at other residencies

  • Contests: will conclude every 8 weeks ( 2 months ). Prizes will be awarded as follows (credits and unraced homebreds)


    • Points can be accumulated at EWC tracks ONLY

    TRACK LIST by Region:

    Points will be allocated in the following manner:

    • First Place Finish = 7 Points

    • Second Place Finish = 4 Points

    • Third Place Finish = 2 Points

    The format shown above is subject to the following point modifications...

    • Have a horse win at odds of 100/1 or more at an EWC track = +14

    • Have a horse win at odds of 50/1 or more, but < 100/1, at an EWC track = +7

    • Have a horse win a Grade 1 at an EWC track = +6

    • Have a horse win a Grade 2 at an EWC track = +5

    • Have a horse win a Grade 3 at an EWC track = +4

    • Have a horse win an Ungraded Stakes at an EWC track = +2

    • Have a horse win by 20 lengths or more at an EWC track = +14

    • Have a horse win by 15 lengths or more at an EWC track = +7

    • Have a horse win by 10 lengths or more at an EWC track = +5

  • All EWC Residents are eligible for EWC Owner Restricted races.

  • If at the end of a contest two or more trainers are tied in points then the following tiebreakers will take effect:

    • #1 - 1st Place will go to the trainer with the most wins

    • #2 - 1st Place will go to the trainer with the most places

    • #3 - 1st Place will go to the trainer with the most shows

    • #4 - 1st place will go to the trainer with the most bonus points

    • #5 - If two or more trainers are STILL tied after all these tiebreakers then the 1st place finisher will be chosen using random.org

  • If you join EWC residency in the middle of a running contest then you will start out with zero points.
